It's petitioning season - and we need YOU out there! Join us for an all-hands-on-deck kickoff as we hit the streets to collect the signatures that put our Democratic candidates on the ballot this year.

What Is Petitioning?

Every election cycle, candidates don't just decide to appear on the ballot - they have to earn their spot. That's where petitioning comes in. Volunteers like you carry official petitions door to door, collecting signatures from registered Democrats in our community. It's one of the most direct and important things you can do in local politics.

It's Not Just About Candidates

Here's what a lot of people don't know: when you carry petitions, you're not only helping our candidates get on the ballot - you can also petition to become a Committee member yourself. Committee members are the grassroots backbone of the local party. They vote on party endorsements, help shape our direction, and represent their neighbors within the Democratic Party. If you've ever wanted a seat at the table, this is how you get one.

What to Expect

We'll meet at Shake & Grind to distribute petitions, go over the process, and head out into the community. Whether you're a seasoned petitioner or brand new to this, we'll make sure you're ready to go.

No experience necessary - just bring your enthusiasm and comfortable shoes.
