Candidate for Town Clerk

I am a lifelong resident of the Town of Newburgh and a proud graduate of Newburgh Free Academy. Since high school, I’ve worked blue-collar, low-wage jobs throughout Orange County - as a mechanic, a chef, and operations manager of a small business right here in our town. I know what it means to work hard and earn everything you have.

A few Years ago, with limited opportunities and a changing political climate, I made the decision to go back to school while working full time. I graduated first from SUNY Orange and then,  summa cum laude from SUNY New Paltz - a first-generation college graduate and one of the proudest accomplishments of my life.

I currently work in the New York State Assembly, gaining experience in government process, public records, and constituent services. With over 10 years of operations experience, including serving as an operations manager, I understand organization, accountability, and efficiency - the core responsibilities of a Town Clerk.

I believe in accessibility. The Clerk’s Office is often the first touchpoint a resident has with town government. It should not be a confusing or aggressive experience. It should be professional, welcoming, transparent, and helpful. Our town is also operating with outdated systems that make simple tasks harder than they need to be. We can modernize processes, improve communication, and make services easier to access for everyone, including updating hours to some evenings and weekends. People should not have to take time off to do business with the town.

I’m running for Town Clerk because I believe our town government should work for the people - and I have the experience and work ethic to make that happen.
